# CitedOrNot

> CitedOrNot tracks whether AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode) recommend a brand when people ask them what to buy or who to use, and tells the brand what to publish to get named more often (Generative Engine Optimization, GEO). It works for any kind of brand: software, physical products, local services, creators and companies.

For each question a user tracks, CitedOrNot asks each engine on a schedule, records the full answer, whether the brand was named, where, with what tone, which competitors were named instead, and which sources the engine cited. For questions a competitor wins, it suggests what to publish and where.
